Antetokounmpo cites chemistry issues in Bucks losses

Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo has blamed a lack of chemistry for the team’s recent heavy defeats in the NBA, speaking after another blowout loss on Wednesday. The forward said the Bucks have struggled to connect on both ends of the court during a difficult stretch of the season.
“We’re not playing together right now,” Antetokounmpo said, quoted by US News. “When the chemistry isn’t there, small mistakes turn into big problems.” He added that defensive lapses and poor communication have been costly, noting the team has allowed opponents to pull away early in games.
Head coach Doc Rivers echoed the concern, saying, “We have to trust each other more and execute better.” A Bucks teammate admitted confidence has dipped, adding, “We know we’re better than this.”
Despite the setbacks, Antetokounmpo insisted the situation is fixable. “We have the talent,” he said. “Now we have to build the connection.”
