Becker Warns Sinner and Alcaraz: Don’t Write Djokovic Off Just Yet

Boris Becker has a message for the new generation. Novak Djokovic is not finished.
The German great, speaking on the eve of the clay season, pushed back against the narrative that tennis now belongs entirely to Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz — insisting Djokovic remains a force neither man can afford to ignore.
“We must not forget Novak as long as he plays,” Becker said. “He was the Australian Open finalist at the start of the season. As long as he remains a professional, he will be a force to be reckoned with.”
Becker was honest about the challenge too. To win a Slam now, Djokovic probably has to beat both Sinner and Alcaraz in the same fortnight. “On their good days,” he acknowledged, “they are better than Djokovic on his good days.”
But Wimbledon is coming. And Becker would never bet against him there.
