Cadillac Names Andretti Advisor for F1 2026 Entry

Cadillac has appointed 1978 Formula 1 world champion Mario Andretti as an advisor ahead of its planned F1 entry in 2026, the team confirmed this week in the United States. The move honors Andretti’s legacy while strengthening Cadillac’s push onto the grid as part of its long-term expansion project.

Andretti, the last American to win the F1 title, will support the team in driver development and strategic direction. “Formula 1 has been my life, and helping build an American team is something very special,” Andretti said.

Cadillac representatives called his arrival “a defining step” in the project. “Mario’s experience and passion will guide us from day one,” a team statement read.

Andretti won 12 Grands Prix during his F1 career and remains a key figure in US motorsport as Cadillac prepares for its 2026 debut.
