Dubai hosts World Sports Summit on Dec 29-30

Dubai opened the inaugural World Sports Summit on Monday, December 29, at Madinat Jumeirah, bringing together more than 1,500 delegates to debate the sport industry’s next big moves under the theme “Uniting the World Through Sport.”

The two-day event, organised by the Dubai Sports Council, features 70 speakers spanning elite competition, governance and business, with names such as Gianni Infantino, Novak Djokovic, Ons Jabeur and Manny Pacquiao on the programme.

“Dubai welcomes… global sports leaders… and athletes,” Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed said, as the summit aims to link sport with community development. “The World Sports Summit will include dialogue sessions, workshops, seminars,” added Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed, pointing to a packed schedule focused on growth and talent pathways.
