Hearn: Joshua Has Fury Contract, July Return and November Showdown Targeted

The Joshua-Fury fight is moving. Slowly, but moving.

Eddie Hearn confirmed Tuesday that Anthony Joshua has received Tyson Fury’s contract and discussions are progressing — with July pencilled in for Joshua’s return and November as the target date for the Fury clash, which Netflix will broadcast.

“We received the contract last week; we are going through that,” Hearn said. “July and November are the two dates that have been presented to us now, and we expect to move forward.”

Joshua has not fought since a car crash in Nigeria in December killed two of his friends. He is still receiving medical clearance to return to full training. A warm-up bout before Fury — with Deontay Wilder mentioned as one option — is likely. Croke Park in Dublin and Saudi Arabia remain the venues under consideration.
