Horner Blames Marko for Red Bull Exit

Christian Horner has blamed Helmut Marko for his Red Bull dismissal, denying any involvement from Max Verstappen or his father, Jos, in the decision revealed in Formula 1: Drive to Survive Season 8.

Speaking in the Netflix series, Horner said internal tensions led to his removal and insisted the Verstappen camp played no role. “This was not about Max or Jos,” he stated. “The decision came from within.”

He pointed to disagreements with Marko as the key factor, adding, “There were differences that became impossible to manage.”

Red Bull has not publicly detailed the reasons behind the split, but the episode sheds light on the power struggle inside the championship-winning team.
