Humphries wins Sigulda gold, first since 2023

Kaillie Humphries returned to the top step for the first time since 2023, steering the United States to victory in the two-woman World Cup race in Sigulda, Latvia, on Sunday as she builds toward the 2026 Winter Olympics. The 40-year-old pilot teamed up with Emily Renna — who celebrated her first career win — ending Humphries’ wait for a World Cup triumph since her last victory at the same venue in February 2023.

Humphries stepped away for the 2023-24 season during her pregnancy and called the comeback win extra special. “Being back on top after three years feels great,” she said, adding: “This is my first win as a mom… A perfect early Christmas present for us both, and the team.”
