Jaguars Lock Up No. 1 Pick Travon Walker on $110M Extension

Jacksonville are betting big on Travon Walker. The Jaguars have signed the former No. 1 overall pick to a four-year, $110 million contract extension — with $77 million in guarantees and $50 million locked in at signing.
Walker was selected first overall in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Georgia. The early years were solid. Then the numbers climbed. He recorded 10 sacks in 2023, 11 in 2024 — steady, ascending, exactly what a franchise wants from a cornerstone defender.
The 2025 season dipped — 4 sacks, 38 tackles — but Jacksonville saw enough over three years to commit long-term.
He lines up alongside Josh Hines-Allen and Arik Armstead on a defensive front built to compete in the AFC South. The Jaguars were staring down the final year of Walker’s rookie deal in 2026. They moved before it became a problem.
$110 million says they have no plans to rebuild around anyone else.
