Jeongwoo Ham Survives Rain Delay and Cameron John to Win Singapore Open Wire-to-Wire

Three hours under a rain delay. One shot at a time. Jeongwoo Ham never flinched.

The South Korean opened the Singapore Open with a stunning 64 at Sentosa’s Serapong course and never left the top of the leaderboard, closing with a three-under 68 on Sunday to finish 16-under and win by two shots over Australia’s Cameron John. Wire-to-wire. His maiden Asian Tour title.

It was already Ham’s seventh professional victory — four on the Korean Golf Tour, two in Japan — but this one comes with something extra. The Singapore Open result earns him a spot at this summer’s Open Championship at Royal Birkdale. The biggest stages are now opening up.

Heat, humidity, a mid-round weather halt — none of it broke him. Ham is heading to Birkdale.
