Killer Kross cites creative freedom as MLW heavyweight champion

Killer Kross holds the Major League Wrestling world heavyweight title after winning it at Battle Riot VIII in January, and the debut of “MLW Fusion” on the Veeps streaming platform is set to place his tenure at the top of the card before a broader global audience.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, Kross pointed to the creative latitude afforded to performers in MLW as the primary reason for what he described as some of the strongest in-ring work of his career. “I’ve put on some of my best performances, probably of my entire career, with MLW,” he said, adding that the ability to main event and shape his own character-driven storytelling had made the experience “awesome.” He specifically cited the absence of the restrictive internal guidelines common at larger promotions, comparing the atmosphere to the boundary-pushing style associated historically with ECW.

MLW’s current roster alongside Kross includes tag team champions Donovan Dijak and Bishop Dyer, as well as Matt Riddle, Austin Aries, Karl Anderson, Doc Gallows, Shotzi, Scarlett Bordeaux, Blue Panther, and actor Paul Walter Hauser. Kross described the blend of Lucha-influenced modern wrestling and more physical styles as a reflection of what the promotion offers its performers and viewers. “There’s no limits to the types of stories that we can tell,” he said.

Kross is scheduled to appear at a press conference tied to the “MLW Fusion” premiere on Veeps, which marks the promotion’s entry onto the platform.
