The Netherlands captured gold in the men’s 5000m short track relay at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics on Friday, producing a composed and clinical display in the final. The Dutch quartet surged ahead in the closing laps and held off late pressure to seal the title.

“We executed our plan perfectly,” one team member said after the race. “We stayed calm and trusted each other.”

A rival skater admitted, “They were stronger in the final exchanges.”
