Ospreay defeats Strickland to earn AEW All In championship match

Will Ospreay won the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament final at AEW Forbidden Door in San Jose, California, on June 29, 2026, defeating Swerve Strickland in a bloody main event to secure an AEW World Championship match at All In.

The match was a physically punishing contest between two of AEW’s most prominent performers. Strickland, with Prince Nana in his corner, worked to control the pace and limit Ospreay’s high-tempo offense, while Ospreay competed with support from The Death Riders at ringside. Both men were bloodied as the match progressed. Strickland landed his House Call strike, but Ospreay absorbed it and responded with a Hidden Blade and a lariat variation of the same move, though Strickland kicked out. Ospreay ultimately secured the pinfall following a Paradigm Shift, a Death Rider, and a Tiger Driver.

The victory places Ospreay in line to challenge MJF for the AEW World Championship at All In, scheduled for August 30. The tournament format awards its winner an automatic title match at that event, making the Forbidden Door final a direct path to one of AEW’s highest-profile cards of the year. All In has previously been held at Wembley Stadium in London, a venue Ospreay, who is British, has publicly identified as personally significant.

The championship match opponent could change before August 30, as MJF’s status as titleholder remains subject to events between now and All In. Ospreay, however, has secured his position on the card regardless of any interim developments on the title picture.
