Gerwyn Price opens his 2025/26 Paddy Power World Darts Championship campaign on December 16 at Alexandra Palace, London, facing Czech qualifier Adam Gawlas as the tournament’s Day Six schedule brings eight first-round matches across two sessions. The former world champion takes centre stage as the race for the Sid Waddell Trophy intensifies.
The afternoon card (12:30 GMT) features Alan Soutar vs Teemu Harju, Nick Kenny vs Justin Hood, plus former semi-finalists Scott Williams vs Paolo Nebrida and Chris Dobey vs Xiaochen Zong. The evening session (19:00 GMT) adds Ricardo Pietreczko vs Jose de Sousa, an all-Dutch clash Danny Noppert vs Jurjen van der Velde, Price’s tie with Gawlas, and debutant Niko Springer vs Joe Comito, with all matches best of five sets.
Price arrives upbeat, insisting: “I’m definitely more confident than last year,” and adding that he’s “starting to find a little bit of form” heading into Ally Pally.
