Renegade Heads into Kentucky Derby 2026 as 4-1 Favourite at Churchill Downs

The 152nd Run for the Roses is here. Saturday at Churchill Downs, 6:57pm ET — twenty horses, one shot at history.

Renegade goes in as favourite at 4-1. He’s been rock steady in the lead-up and draws wide support from punters. Three other horses carry single-digit odds: Commandment at post 6 (the shorter of the trio), So Happy at post 8, and Further Ado at post 18.

Further back, Chief Wallabee — trained by Bill Mott — is at 8-1. The Puma is at 10-1. Emerging Market and So Happy are both 15-1.

The field is deep. The pace projections are complicated. And with 20 horses through the first turn at Churchill Downs, anything can happen.
