Robertson signals desire to remain at Liverpool

Andy Robertson has reiterated his wish to stay at Liverpool, insisting he still has the drive to compete at the top level as questions surround his future. The Scotland captain addressed speculation ahead of the new season, making it clear his focus remains on contributing at Anfield.

Robertson, a mainstay in Liverpool’s defence since 2017, said his motivation has not faded. “I still feel the hunger to play and compete,” he said. “As long as I can help the team, I want to be here.”

Despite managing injuries in recent campaigns, the left-back believes he can still perform consistently. “You have to look after yourself, but when I’m fit, I back myself,” Robertson added.

Liverpool are expected to assess their squad as part of a rebuild, but Robertson’s stance is firm. Former Reds defender Jamie Carragher noted: “Andy’s mentality is elite. He sets standards.”

With contract talks likely down the line, Robertson has sent a clear message — his priority is staying at Liverpool and fighting for his place.
