Ronaldo Shuts Down Al Ahli Mockery With Five-Finger Response

Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t do quiet exits.

Al Nassr beat Al Ahli 2-0 on Wednesday, with Ronaldo scoring the opener and Kingsley Coman adding the second. But the real drama came after the final whistle. As post-match interviews were being conducted near the away end, Al Ahli fans began taunting Ronaldo — pointing to their two-time Asian Champions status.

He smiled. Held up one hand. “I have five Champions Leagues.”

It didn’t stop there. Defender Merih Demiral clashed with home fans, flashed a two-and-zero gesture, and later brandished a Champions League medal in the melee. Al Nassr had also refused to give Al Ahli a guard of honour before kickoff following the visitors’ recent AFC triumph.

Demiral accused Ronaldo’s club of receiving refereeing favours in mixed zone. Ronaldo pushed back — on everyone.

“Everyone talks more than they should,” he said. “For me, that’s not football.”
