Tiger Woods Faces DUI Charges After Florida Rollover Crash

Golf legend Tiger Woods was arrested for DUI on March 27 after his Land Rover rolled on a Jupiter Island road in Florida — the latest chapter in a story that refuses to end quietly.

The 50-year-old clipped a truck trailer after looking down at his phone. The SUV tipped onto its side. Nobody was seriously hurt.

Deputies found him lethargic and sweating, with bloodshot eyes and extremely dilated pupils. His breathalyzer blew 0.00%. But he refused a urine test. Two hydrocodone opioid pills were found in his pants pocket.

He faces charges of DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to testing. Woods pleaded not guilty and demanded a jury trial.

President Donald Trump came out swinging for his friend. “He lives a life of pain,” Trump said. “He’s an amazing guy. He has a lot of pain.” Trump insisted Woods does not have an alcohol problem — just chronic pain from years of injuries.

Woods has had seven back surgeries and more than 20 operations on his leg. It is not his first DUI. He was arrested under similar circumstances in 2017.
