Verstappen to race Nürburgring 24h with AMG GT3 in 2026

Verstappen Racing has confirmed its programme for the 2026 Nürburgring season, announcing it will compete with a Mercedes-AMG GT3 on the Nordschleife together with Winward Racing as part of preparations for the iconic 24-hour race.
The team plans to enter NLS1, NLS2 and the 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers before the endurance classic, with Max Verstappen himself set to drive in NLS2 after the schedule no longer clashes with the Japanese Grand Prix.
“The Nürburgring Nordschleife is a special place. There’s no other track like it,” Verstappen said. “The 24h Nürburgring has been on my bucket list for a long time, so I’m really thrilled we can make it happen.”
The Dutchman also highlighted the value of last year’s preparation, when he secured his DMSB Nordschleife permit and won NLS9. “That experience helped us learn a lot for this year’s programme,” he explained.
Verstappen will share the car with Dani Juncadella, Jules Gounon and Lucas Auer. “We’ve got a strong line-up and great support from Red Bull and Mercedes-AMG Motorsport,” he added.
